The Wadden Sea is World Heritage.

It is the largest unbroken system of intertidal ecosystems in the world, formed by everchanging sand and mud flats. 

This painting, made by low tide, demonstrates a sandbank near the island Terschelling. Far away, classic ships in foggy weather are still sailing behind the sandbank.
